A Word About the Jackets ...
The brown/black organza jacket with the gold iris design is laminated composition gold leaf. I wanted to do a trial jacket using the composition gold leaf before I used the 22k gold leaf.
This kimono style jacket is made of black/brown silk organza. I have painted decorative strips of color and toned them down by covering them with a strip of silk organza in the same black/brown color. This photo is the back of the jacket ... it is transparent, you can see the decorative strip on the left front of the jacket through all the layers.

Jacket finished!
It's finished! I have silk screened the motifs and sewn the hems. Final pressing will be done in March just before the jury date for the fashion show. I have called this jacket -'Summer Nights'.
